BER is the latest buzz word on everyone’s lips at the moment. So what is it?
BER stands for Building Energy Rating. A BER is similar to the energy label for a household electrical appliance like your fridge. The label has a scale of A-G. A-rated homes are the most energy efficient and G the least efficient.
A BER certificate will be compulsory for almost all new homes by mid 2008. From the 1st of January 2009 a BER certificate will be compulsory for all homes, new and old being sold or rented. BER’s will be carried out by a specially trained BER assessor, registered by Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI).
At Wyse, we are delighted to announce a new addition to our services schedule: BER Assessment. From the end of January 2009, we will be able to provide specially trained BER assessor.
We know how important it is for us at Wyse to continue to create new and exciting methods to improve our services in an effort to achieve and maintain client satisfaction. If you have any further queries on BER, please do not hesitate to call us on 01-6470600
